Vive Bene Italian Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
We went tonight to check this place out since it is new and a small business. Glad we went. The food was amazing. We had the arancini, pork chop, and mafalde carbonara. Everything was delicious. Mafalde came out a little dry for my liking, but our server got me more sauce and it was perfect. Everything was so good I forgot to take pics of it all. But it was great! I did remember a picture of our dessert, which was a homemade apple torte. OMG…. Completely amazing. I don’t have a seeet tooth but I could eat this every day! Now on to service. Maybe the best thing about this place. Rachel was our server and I wrote her name down because I will literally return just to see her. Friendly and attentive…. and aware. Everything could have been terrible and she would have saved the day. Manager stopped by to check on us and was super friendly. I will definitely be back. This place is a 10/10
The food is phenomenal and the staff are inviting and kind. The atmosphere is very inviting with more dim lighting and a relaxing vibe.
Went for dinner on a Friday night in November. It was very busy. We were seated upstairs adjacent to the piano player. I was a little apprehensive about how we could converse sitting next to the piano, but he played at a very low volume, which was perfect! The service was extremely professional, prompt and courteous. We recognized the bartender and the food runner from other restaurants in the area that are now closed, which was nice because we knew them to be excellent. All of the dishes on the menu are in Italiano, so if you are not familiar with the various pastas, etc., you might want to study the menu in advance. The drinks were superb. The Pappardelle al Bolognese was excellent, as was the Pollo Parmigiana Croccante. The desserts were excellent, also. Although the menu and website state there is a 3% fee for using a credit card, it was not charged. You might want to bring your debit card, just in case. The prices are a bit higher than you might expect in this area, but they provide a very high end experience. I definitely recommend!
I have visited for both dinner and brunch. The restaurant has a very warm atmosphere and the attention from the staff is excellent. Every meal has been delicious, and much better than your average Italian restaurant in the area. This is a wonderful addition to the south Jersey community.
Viva Bene! Great experience! Great food! We were seated right away Rachel immediately came over for a friendly greeting. Antonio came over with water and bread, we both had salads garden and classic Caesar perfect! We then had gnocchi and meat and Salmon with a nice butter sauce! Wow! We took home ricotta cheesecake and biscottis. Highly recommend viva Bene!
Came here upon opening, ordered the burrata, calamari, veal parm, and NY strip. The veal parm had a great crisp and the steak was cooked to perfection. All of the food was phenomenal and fresh. The dishes were creative while being traditional. The bread and different spreads prior to ordering were also delicious. The seasonal cocktails were great and I was appreciative of the servers recommendations! The servers were extremely friendly and knowledgable, especially for just opening! Chef Sal came out to check on how our food was and explained the desert options to us. We went with the tiramisu which was the perfect end to our delicious meal. The ambiance was warm and inviting and the whole experience all around made for a great date night!
Had the arancini appetizer and it was amazing! My parents loved the eggplant rollatini with the caciocavallo cheese. Ordered the braciole with gnocchi, and the gnocchi was cooked perfectly. We also got dessert, the tiramisu was great and the iris was like a zeppole filled with cannoli filling! Delicious and definitely enough to share between 2 people.
The food was delicious! I got the scampi with gluten free pasta and it was amazing! My family also enjoyed their meals. I do wish the appetizers all came out at or around the same time and that the plates weren’t being taken off the table while some of us were still eating but I’m not taking off any stars for that because they’re new and it wasn’t the end of the world. Definitely worth it to go because the food was amazing!
